I decided to have a short promotional video filmed for Jane Rose Cakes. I wanted to show you how I work in the kitchen and what I tend to do on a normal working day. Fiona Pitts took behind the scenes photos while producer, Charlotte Parry Jones organized everything. Leigh Hammond and Paul Hanks worked behind the camera and on lighting. Welsh producer Ifan Dafydd will be composing the music. The video was filmed in Beaumaris on the beautiful island of Anglesey.

It’s been a busy week in the Jane Rose cake kitchen here on Anglesey.

Orchid cupcakes tinted with a purple dust and a simple off white wedding cake decorated with delicate white Orchids. The cake itself is classic and elegant; the cupcakes compliment it perfectly and are wonderfully versatile. Displayed either on a cupcake tower, as part of a sweet table or as wedding favours, they work in many ways. Continue reading →
Living in Camberwell, the house across the road had the most gorgeous flourishing magnolia tree. Incredibly beautiful and entirely majestic, it stood mightily at the top of our hill. Magnolia is an ancient plant, fossilised specimens have been found dating back 20 million years. There is something about this quietly strong, elegant plant that I have always admired.
